About Kandi

Hello!

I’m Kandi, the resident photographer, artist and designer of Sweet Like Kandi!

I am a happily married mommy of one. My husband Andy and our daughter are my biggest fans, and greatest inspirations. Olivia is 5 and she is my favorite model! Although, sometimes she gets tired of having her photo taken! I am a photojournalism major and hope to graduate in May of 2010. From there, I plan to write for a local newspaper and continue making my dreams come true with photography.

I studied darkroom under Megan Pinch at the University of North Alabama, and digital photography & media under Dr. Jack Zibluk, Amanda Watlington & Ernie Rice at Arkansas State University (where I am still studying!). I love shooting in digital but I absolutely can not wait to have my own darkroom. Developing and printing can make a photo so much more personal and unique. This is a service that will be added to Sweet Like Kandi in the next year.

I am a lover of many things, and I am constantly trying to improve my life and the lives of those around me. I believe in equality, and I strive to bring the best I can to every endeavor that comes my way. I look forward to working with you and creating your visions through my photography and art. I am up for anything, any idea you have I am ready to try!
